Effective date: September 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TechChirp (“TechChirp,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit TechChirp.com, use our company-search tools, request company or bulk-verification services, contact us, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Services.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to information processed through the Services. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or data sources that we do not control, even when they are linked from or referenced by TechChirp.
2. Information we collect

- documents or other information used to verify your identity, authority, or business.
Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider. We may receive transaction status and limited billing details but may not directly receive or store complete payment-card or bank-account credentials.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

- error reports, security events, diagnostic information, and server logs; and
- information about how you interact with emails or other communications, where permitted.
Company and public-record information
Our company-search service may process information obtained from government registries, public records, licensed data providers, company websites, user submissions, and other publicly available or lawfully obtained sources. This may include company names, filing identifiers, business status, registration dates, business addresses, industry information, and the names or business contact details of officers, directors, members, managers, organizers, or registered agents.
Although this information generally relates to companies, some records may identify an individual and may qualify as personal information under applicable law.
Information from third parties
We may receive information from public authorities, data suppliers, analytics providers, security and fraud-prevention providers, payment processors, business partners, and users who submit company records or correction requests.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to keep the website functioning, remember preferences, understand traffic and usage, prevent abuse, measure performance, and, where enabled, support advertising or marketing.
You can control many cookies through your browser settings and any cookie-preference tool made available on the website. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Services from working correctly. Browser controls apply to the browser and device where you set them.
4. How we use information
We may use information to:
- provide, operate, maintain, personalize, and improve the Services;
- process searches, reports, verification requests, transactions, and customer support;
- create, maintain, authenticate, and secure accounts;
- communicate about requests, purchases, updates, security, and service changes;
- verify information, respond to corrections, and improve data quality;
- analyze performance, usage patterns, and feature effectiveness;
- detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, scraping, abuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity;
- enforce our Terms of Use and other agreements;
- comply with law, legal process, regulatory obligations, and valid government requests; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and protect the rights and safety of TechChirp and others.
5. How we disclose information
We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers: vendors that provide hosting, cloud storage, analytics, communications, customer support, payments, security, and other operational services;
- Data and verification providers: providers used to locate, compare, validate, supplement, or update company information;
- Professional advisers: attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, and consultants subject to appropriate duties of confidentiality;
- Authorities and legal recipients: courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties when disclosure is required or permitted by law;
- Business-transfer recipients: actual or potential buyers, investors, lenders, advisers, or successors in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of assets; and
- Other parties at your direction: recipients you authorize or direct us to contact or provide information to.
Company information drawn from public or commercial sources may be displayed in search results or delivered in reports to users of the Services. Public display does not mean that all underlying source data is owned or controlled by TechChirp.
6. Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising
TechChirp does not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws define “sale” or “sharing” broadly to include certain disclosures involving advertising cookies or similar technologies. If we use technologies that qualify as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable law, you may opt out through an available cookie-preference tool, by enabling a legally recognized browser-based opt-out signal such as Global Privacy Control, or by contacting us as described below.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 years old.
7. Legal bases for processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal information as necessary to perform a contract or provide requested Services; based on our legitimate interests in operating, improving, securing, and promoting the Services; with your consent; and as necessary to comply with legal obligations or protect legal rights. You may withdraw consent at any time, but doing so does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
8. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain business and transaction records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud and abuse, and satisfy legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations. Retention periods vary based on the type and sensitivity of information, the nature of our relationship, legal requirements, and operational needs.
Public-record or company-directory information may remain available after a request to delete account information when it continues to appear in an official source or when retention is otherwise lawful and appropriate. We may retain de-identified or aggregated information that cannot reasonably be linked to you.
9. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your credentials and using a secure device and network.
10. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to:
- request access to or a copy of personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- request deletion of personal information;
- request data portability;
- opt out of sale, sharing, or processing for targeted advertising;
- limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information;
- object to or restrict certain processing and withdraw consent;
- appeal our decision on a privacy request, where applicable; and
- not receive unlawful discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.
To exercise a right, email contact@techchirp.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” Describe your request and the information or company record involved. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity, authority, and jurisdiction. We will use verification information only to process the request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and direct identity confirmation.
Certain information may be exempt from a request, including information we must retain to comply with law, protect security, complete transactions, maintain legal claims, or preserve the integrity of public records. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision and stating that you wish to appeal.
11. California privacy notice
California residents may request to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, the sources and purposes of collection, and the categories of recipients to whom information was disclosed. They may also request correction or deletion and may opt out of qualifying sale or sharing, subject to exceptions under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”).
During the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the categories described in Section 2, including identifiers, customer-record information, commercial information, internet or electronic-network activity, approximate geolocation, professional or employment-related information contained in business records, and inferences based on use of the Services. Sources, business purposes, and disclosure categories are described in Sections 2 through 5. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about an individual beyond purposes permitted by applicable law.
California’s “Shine the Light” law may permit residents to request information about certain disclosures for direct-marketing purposes. You may submit such a request using the contact information below.
12. Company-record correction and removal requests
If a TechChirp company page contains inaccurate, outdated, or improperly displayed information, email us with the page URL, the exact information at issue, the requested change, and supporting documentation from an official source. We may contact the company, registered agent, public registry, or other source to verify the request. We cannot alter an original government or third-party record and may direct you to correct the information with its source first.
13. Communications
We may send transactional or service-related communications that are necessary to manage your request, account, or purchase. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails through the link in the message or by contacting us. Even after opting out of marketing, you may still receive non-promotional notices relating to security, transactions, support, or legal updates.
14. Children’s privacy
The Services are intended for adults and business users and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and, when appropriate, delete it.
15. International data transfers
TechChirp and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
16. Third-party services and links
Third-party websites and services operate under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices. Review the privacy policy of any third party before providing information.
17. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, Services, or legal obligations. We will post the revised Policy on this page and update the effective date. If required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a material change takes effect.
